Save and share a layout

Save your layout to your account and share it publicly or via a private link with collaborators.

OpenLumen treats sharing as a deliberate, reversible action: nothing leaves your account until you click Share. Choose the right level of visibility for the audience.

  1. Save to your account

Use File → Save (or Ctrl/Cmd + S) to push the layout to your OpenLumen account. The "Local only" badge in the top-left disappears once it's saved.

Saved layouts are listed under My Layouts — accessible from the Layout nav button as soon as you have at least one saved.

  2. Share with one person via a private link

Click the Share button in the top-right. OpenLumen creates a one-off URL that anyone with the link can open — no sign-in required. They get a read-only view of the layout plus the discussion panel.

You can revoke the link at any time from the same Share dialog.

  3. Publish to the community

To make your layout discoverable to everyone in the OpenLumen community, open the Share dialog and switch the visibility to Public. Public layouts show up in the Community tab, can be commented on, and can be copied as a starting point by other users.

You can take a public layout private again at any time, but copies that other users have already made stay with them.
