Browse and filter the library

Find the right luminaire fast using the search box, category tree, manufacturer picker, and slider filters.

The library currently holds thousands of IES files contributed by manufacturers and the OpenLumen community. The filters compose with each other, so any combination of category + manufacturer + lumens + size still gives you a sensible result.

  1. Pick the Library tab

    The library has two views: Library (every IES file you can access) and Collections (curated groups). Start in Library for the full list.

  2. Search by name

    Type any part of the manufacturer, catalog number, or description into the search box. Results update as you type.

  3. Narrow by category and manufacturer

    Use the Category and Manufacturer dropdowns to drill down into a specific product family. Categories are organised in a tree (e.g. *Outdoor → Area & Roadway → Type II*) and you can pick any leaf or parent node.

  4. Filter by file type and verification

    The colored badges next to File Type filter by who uploaded the file: Official (manufacturer-vetted), Community (uploaded by another OpenLumen user), and the verification level (Verified, Candidate, Unverified). Combine these with the lumen / watts / dimensions sliders below to narrow on the exact fixture you need.
